China invaded Tibet mid last century, Tibet was an ancient, independent contry and had been for several thousand yrs, Tibet had its own borders, religion, leadership, flag, food, dance, postal system, currency and on and on, the invasion was unprovoked, Tibet was very peaceful and not bothering any other country the country was devoted to Buddhism, during the invasion hundreds of thousands of Tibetans were shot, bayoneted, beaten to death, etc. many Tibetans tortured, imprisioned, etc.
They lost their entire country to China.

They tried to kill Dalai Lama but he escaped overland into India where he has been ever since.

Dalai Lama has won the Nobel Peace Prize, America's highest honor and was named by Time Magazine as the most influential person on the planet. All his tapes and books are on peace, compassion, meditation, etc. He is the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet and before that Tibet had Kings.

Tibetans to this day trying to get out of Tibet are shot and killed by Chinese military,

China regularly cyber attacks the Tibet government in exile.
